Born Haywood County on February 6, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Minnie Ledford.
In addition to her parents her son David Rastus James; her daughter-in-law Tammy James, and brothers Charles Ledford, Joseph Ledford and Alonzo Ledford Jr. preceded her in death.
She was a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Her husband of 62 years, Kenneth David James of the home; her son Dale James of Hickory; granddaughters Tabitha Smith, and Monica James; grandson Darren James and wife Kendra; great granddaughter Haisley James and great grandson Jesse James.
