Mr. Glenn Ray "Pete" Holland

Pete was born January 3, 1945 in Catawba Co. to the Late Rev. Jack Rufus and Annie Lee Hice Holland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, George Holland.

He was a member of Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church and retired as a supervisor for the Town of Longview. He was a Vietnam veteran second class ship’s serviceman (Barber) served on the USS Proteus. He was a member of Hickory Masonic Lodge #343 AF&AM .

Surviving are his wife, Janice Eckard Holland of the home, daughter, Rani Holland of Hickory, sister, Sue Mitchum and husband, Jerry of Hickory, and a number of nieces.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 21, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dale Faulkenbury officiating.

Burial will follow in Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #48. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Hickory Masonic Lodge #343 AF&AM

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 -8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
