.Homer Wade Arnett of Granite Falls – Homer Wade Arnett, 79 passed away on December 31, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, surrounded by his loving family. He was known by the name of John to all his friends and family. He was born in Carter County, Tennessee on June 29, 1937, son of the late Thomas R. Arnett and Daily Pearl Stevens.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He was a devoted husband of 46 years to Karen Idema Arnett, also left to cherish his memories are daughters; Pamela Bryan and husband David of Lenoir, Dawn Arnett of Granite Falls; brother Mark Arnett and wife Iva of Michigan; 3 sisters Zedia Ellis, Martha Dean Cress and Helen Riddle all of Tennessee; grandchildren, Brittanni Robinette, Mackenzie Witt, Chelsea Coonse, Alex Bryan and Tanner Ray; great grand-children, Chloe Coonse, Ryland Witt, Kameron Robinette, Candace Coonse, Greyson Witt and Bradley Robinette.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday January 4, 2017 in the chapel at Catawba Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Coonse Jr. officiating. Family will greet friends at conclusion of the service.
