JAMES CURTIS DUNN HICKORY- James Curtis Dunn, 63 went home to be with his Lord on March 20, 2015. Born January 6, 1952 to the late James E. and Leona Dunn in Rockingham, North Carolina. James was a loving and devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw. He was an avid reader and he worked for the Hickory Daily Record for 22 years. James always went out of his way to help others and was a friend to all that knew him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Catherine “Cathy” Dunn of Hickory; children, Richie DeSha of Hickory, Landon DeSha and wife Ashley of Hickory, Matthew Dunn and wife Jennifer of Conover, Gavin Dunn of Hickory, and James Curtis Dunn “Jamie” and wife Amanda of Hickory; grandchildren, Taylor, Celeste, Lancelyn, Xzandir, Joseph, Little Landon, Owen, Jade, and Ava; sister, Brenda Dunn; and brother, Tim Dunn and wife Pat. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 3pm at Catawba Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Michael Adebesin. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 at the funeral home.
