I grew up in Greensboro and made friends with "Dud" sometime in early high school. We had a few other friends too and played a lot of basketball, football, etc. Summer nights we'd head out to a community center and hang out, playing ball. We had a lot of fun and I have stories. I regret not seeing my friend one more time. We connected just last year and for that I am grateful. I am so glad he found his true love and had, and has, a wonderful family, of whom he was so proud. Most of his side of our latest communication was about his family. As you said Ellen, he is in a better place and I miss him, but not like you all. God bless you all and may God grant you peace quickly.
