HICKORY – Kay Bolick, 83 of Hickory passed away on May 19, 2023.
Kay was born on February 16, 1940 in Catawba County, to the late Virgil and Vertie Sigmon Hendrix. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Kay loved animals and was a supporter of rescue and adoption. She enjoyed helping others and always put her family first. There was never a more proud mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed by her entire family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joel and Harold Hendrix.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kelly Larson and husband, Gunnar, Chad Bolick and wife Heather; grandchildren, Katie Bolick, Matthew Larson and wife, Jackie, and Seth Larson; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brielle, and Raylee Larson; sister, Judy Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Vicar Rebecca Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 1 PM – 2 PM.
