HICKORY – Linda Coley Gantt, 74 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2022 at Carolina Caring.
Born on January 31, 1947 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Hamilton Coley Jr. and Wilma Hewitt Coley. Linda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hickory. She loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed going camping. Linda loved animals, especially dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Coley; a sister, Patricia Ladelle Branch.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Loye Gantt; sons, Scott Gantt and wife Lisa of Conover, Chad Gantt and wife Michelle of Hickory; step-children, Jimmy Gantt Jr. of Connelly Springs, Eric Gantt and wife Judy of Vale, Angie Hallman and husband Conrad of Vale, Brian Gantt and wife Rhonda of Vale; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; numerous other family members; and her beloved Siberian Husky Daisy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1PM at Christ Lutheran Church in Hickory with Pastor Alec Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12PM -1PM at the church.
