

She was born August 25, 1940 in Catawba County to the late Carl Washington and Merit Inez Huffman Parsons.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Alfred Huffman; her second husband Tommy Wilson; her infant daughter Lora Lee Huffman; her son Jesse Ray “Pete” Huffman; and her sister Mary Chaney
She is survived by her godson Jeff Ennis and wife Dori of Hickory; step daughter Lisa Courtner; brothers Foard Parsons and wife Betty, Benny Parsons and wife Ellen, Barry Parsons and Gary Parsons; her sisters Gladys Harmon, Jerline Crouch, and Joyce Brannock; granddaughters Cindy and Janie Ennis; numerous nieces and nephews that she thought of as her children. Lois had many children that came into her life; she would refer to them as her “youngins” and she loved each and every one of them. She is also survived by a special friend Judy Norris.
She was owner of Four Way Grill, worked at Carroll’s Diner and she retired as supervisor from Alba Waldensian Hosiery Mill where she worked for many years. She was a member of the Monday Night Strike Force bowling league at Pin Station.
Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers that have been beside her for the last several months.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 10, 2010 from 6PM to 8PM at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:00PM at Providence Baptist Church with Reverend Ernest Richards officiating.
Burial will follow at church cemetery.
