Hickory- Pastor Lonnie “Bill” William Ashe, 56, of Hickory went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2019 after an extended illness at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born on August 31, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert Harold and Noble Crisp Ashe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Ashe. Pastor Bill was a past president of West Hickory Lions Club. He was also former Pastor of Moriah Baptist Church and currently was co-founder and Pastor at TGIF Ministries. He is survived by his wife Teresa Ashe of the home; sons James Ashe and wife Leah of Hickory, and Timothy Ashe and wife Chelsey of Nebo; step-son Johnny Coleman of Conover; step-daughters Lorie Tapp of Conover and Amber Morrison of Hickory; grandchildren Dalton Coleman, Alayna Turner, Coy London and Emma Ashe. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Dennis Pitts, Pastor Ray Hightower and Pastor Robert Ashe officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to West Hickory Lions Club, 903 1st Ave. S, Conover, NC 28613. Arrangements are with Hickory Funeral Home.
