Lorelei Elise DeGroat

LORELEI ELISE DEGROAT CATAWBA – Lorelei Elise DeGroat, 25 of Catawba passed away on January 26, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born on November 12, 1996 in Wake County to Andy and Erica DeGroat. Lorelei had attended Conover School. She fought Bohring-Opitz Syndrome, a rare genetic disease, all her life. Lorelei traveled with her family to Disney World frequently and enjoyed interacting with all the characters. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Loretta Krom and Gilbert and Lucille DeGroat; aunt, Barbara DeGroat. Survivors include her parents, Andy and Erica DeGroat; sister, Caitlin Smith and husband Paul; niece, Natalie Smith; numerous other family members. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
