MARTHA EVELYN CRAWLEY HICKORY – Martha Evelyn Crawley, 87, of Hickory went home to be with her Lord on November 21, 2015. Born on March 21, 1928 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Pinkney H. and Mattie Early Crawley. Evelyn worked at Hill’s Café in Hickory. She enjoyed spending time with family and she loved animals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Woodrow Crawley, Romulus Crawley; sister, Alice Austin; and niece, Rhona Kay Wallace. Survivors include her sister, Nora E. Mace of Hickory; brother, Floyd Crawley and wife Katherine of Hickory; nephews, Ralph Wallace of Conover, Ronnie Wallace and wife Louise of Hickory, Gene Crawley and wife Patsy of Granite Falls, Patrick H. Crawley of Selmer, TN, Kathrina Crawley and husband Conwell of Charlotte, Kate Crawley Hall and husband Chris of Beaverton, OR; and a great-nephew, Michael Wallace.
