HICKORY--- Mattie Elizabeth “Lib” Cook McKinney, 97, of Hickory passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Trinity Ridge following a period of declining health.Elizabeth was born on January 05, 1917 in Burke County to the late John William and Mary Elizabeth Sigmon Cook.She was a member of Hickory Seventh Day Adventist Church and retired from Shurtape.In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence McKinney, daughter, Cynthia Ann McKinney, brothers, Ned Cook, James Buster Cook, Bill Cook and a sister, Lallage Cobb.She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the Mausoleum at Catawba Memorial Park with the Reverend Michael B.
