Mrs. Mildred "Millie" Little

CLAREMONT – Mildred Cline Little, 88, of Claremont , went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice.

Born on August 24, 1925 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Fay and Louise Cline. Millie was a member of First Baptist Church of Claremont where she loved to attend church and Sunday School Class. She volunteered at CCCM in Newton. Millie enjoyed to crochet and embroidery for friends and family. She loved to travel and be with her sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Alvin L. Little; daughter and son in law, Jane Burton and Everett Burton; sister, Peggy Sigmon; brother in laws, Jake Sigmon and Donald Barringer.

Survivors include her children, Gary Little and wife Annette of Claremont, Pat Sears and husband Kevin of Granite Falls, Marvin Little and wife Kathy of Conover, Tim Little and wife Jamie of Catawba, Lisa Winkler and husband Joe of Granite Falls; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson; sisters, Jean Barringer of Newton, and Beck Caldwell and husband James of Maiden.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 4 PM at First Baptist Church of Claremont with Rev. Dennis J. Richards Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3:30 at the church.

Pallbearers are Scott Little, Chris(Brian) Little, Jason Little, Eric (Ashley) Little, Jeff Hall, Junior Sipe, Patrick Phifer, James Warden.
