

HICKORY–Naomi Bolick Taylor, 85, passed away December 28, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice after a brief illness. Naomi was born August 17, 1929 in Catawba Co. to the late Marcus A. Bolick and Gertrude Barger Bolick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Bobby Earl Taylor, sisters Marie Anderson, Thelma Davis, and brother Ray Bolick. She retired from Hickory Manuf. Co. after thirty-two years and was a devoted lifetime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College where she earned her Business Administration Degree. Surviving are daughter Donna Creason and Husband Don Creason of Matthews; grandchildren, Alison M. Scruggs of Charlotte, Bradley Musgrove and wife Jamie of Dahlonega, Ga., great grandsons, Brandon Scruggs of Matthews and Samuel Scruggs of Waynesville; great granddaughter; Faith Scruggs of Waynesville; brother, Carroll Bolick of Roswell, Ga.; sisters, Adelaide Grigsby of Hickory and Elaine Settlemyre of Marion, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday Dec. 31 from 10:45-11:45 am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church fellowship hall. The memorial service will be Wednesday Dec. 31 at 12 noon at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Duncan officiating. The memorial graveside service will immediately follow.
