Nora Alice Deaton

Nora was born April 20, 1921 in Burke Co. to the late James Leland and Blanche Weaver Deaton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Hefner .

She was a member of Mt. View Mennonite Church and retired from Drexel Heritage furniture.

Surviving are daughters: Patricia Davis and husband Tommy and Vickie Hanan both of Hickory and son, Gary Deaton of Hickory, sister, Irene Richards of Longview, brother, Leroy “Bud” Deaton of Longview and son-in-law, Jack Hefner of Hickory, 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday, August 29, at 4:00 P. M. at Mtn. View Mennonite Church with the Reverends Chuck Hosteller, Wellington Moyer, Ed Godshall and Douglas Hefner.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:45 – 3:45 P. M. Sunday at Mtn. View Mennonite Church.
