Norma Jane Young

Norma “Jane” Young, 60 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on February 14th, 1964, Jane was the daughter of the late Thurman Lee and Judy Minton Young. Jane loved going to the dirt bike races, fishing, camping and she was a great cook. She had a heart to help others. She was so much fun to be around and gave the best gifts. Jane was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepsister, Lisa Holsclaw and her half-sister, Mammie Young.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her fiancé of 20 years, William Brown; her son, Jarrette Young and fiancé, Savannah Robison; her grandson, Baylor Young; her stepson, Nathan Brown and wife, Megan; her granddaughters, Charlotte and Caroline Brown; her brother, Terry Young; 2 half-brothers, Ty Young and Tray Young; her sister, Penny McGhinnis and husband, Paul; her nieces and nephews, Ashley Lockee and husband, Justin, Kenzie Young and fiancé, Evan Smith, Trenton Young; her great niece, Zaylee Smith and 2 great nephews, Jaxx and Bryston Lockee, as well as numerous friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church at 4676 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.

A Memorial Service will be held at Friendship Baptist Church in Hudson on Monday, November 11th, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
