Hickory- Patrick Eddy Rowe, Sr. of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born on December 31, 1957 in Catawba County, NC, he was the son of the late Bobby Eugene and Patricia Anne Prescott Rowe. Patrick grew and made his life in Hickory, working for Forest City Tool and in various shipping and cargo businesses. He obtained his certification from Caldwell Community College Trucking Institute in 2001. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, also had a passion for NASCAR and spending time with his grandson, Wyatt. He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include, two sons, Patrick Rowe, II and Steven Rowe and their mother, Elizabeth Kelly Rowe, all of Newton; a grandson, Wyatt Rowe; a brother, Bobby N. Rowe and wife, Nancy of Monroe, NC; two sisters, Angela R. Linder and husband, Scott of Niceville, FL and Tammy R. Meadows of Newton, as well as many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
Patrick was sweetly and dearly cared for by his first cousin, Marcia Rowe, RN who sacrificially gave her time and expertise and gifting’s of love.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring of Newton in Patrick’s name.
