Born in Catawba County on October 16, 1960, he was the son of the late Richard Kanupp and Sudie Houston Kanupp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Allen “Snuffy” Kanupp.
He is survived by his wife Debra Bowman Kanupp of the home; daughter Deanna Foster and husband Ryan of Hickory; grandsons Nolan Foster and Rhett Foster; brother Marcus Kanupp of Catawba and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm at First United Methodist Church in the CLC Building. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Paul Christy officiating.
