Randolph Alvin Propst

Randy was born March 12, 1945 in Catawba co. to the late Yates Alvin and Dorothy Catherine Bolick Propst.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Alma Woods.

Randy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and retired from Century Furniture and Corning.

Mr. Propst enjoyed traveling with his family and driving his car. He coached his daughters at Mt. View Rec., an avid worker for his church, and enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Anne Yoder Propst of the home, daughters: Sara Ann Icard and husband Barry and Kathryn Dawn Propst both of Hickory, brother: Bill Yates Propst and wife, Elizabeth of McKinney, TX and a niece, Alyssa Woods of Annandale, Va.

Services will be Friday, January 7, 2011, at 3:00 P. M. at Zion Lutheran Church with the Reverend John Woodard officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 – 2:45 P. M. at the church.
