Robin (Hefner) Coulbourn

She was born on August 7, 1963 to the late Tommy Ray Hefner and Hilma Starnes Adair in Alexander County. Robin dedicated over 2 decades of service to Sherrill Furniture. She lived and loved with all of her heart. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by many friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Hefner and brother, Rodney Hefner.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Coulbourn of the home; daughter, Melanie Shoemaker and husband Justin of Statesville; step daughters, Krystal Hefner, Nikki McCann, Jesse Coulbourn, Brandi Cox; step sons, Brett Hefner, Chad Hefner, Lucas Coulbourn; grandchildren, Jamison Shoemaker, Damian Shoemaker, Kourtney Perkins, Colin McCann, Chelsea McCann, Braxton Cox, Zoiey Cox, Rhemi Coulbourn, Layla Coulbourn, Sophena Coulbourn; and half brothers, Chad Hefner and Gary Starnes.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Darren Pennell will be officiating the service.
