Ruby Bowman Hall, 86, of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born March 8, 1926 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Truman E. Bowman and Bessie Killian Bowman. She was retired from the furniture industry where she worked as a seamtress. She was a member of Unity Lutheran Church and was a good person to everyone she met and although she had no children of her own, she was a mother to many.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Calvin Armistice Hall; brothers, Leroy Bowman, Donald Bowman, Brady Bowman, Ivan Bowman, and Thell Bowman; sisters, Catherine Bumgarner, Zelda Eckard, and Shannon Robinson.
She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Shannon and husband Frank of Hickory, Jane Parson and husband Randall of Hickory, Janette Beach of Hickory; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 31, 2012 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
