CONOVER – Samuel Edwin Robinette, 90 of Conover passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024.
He was born on February 2, 1934 in Alexander County to the late Ed and Ruby Isenhour Robinette. Samuel was a veteran of the US Army and was of the Lutheran Faith. He retired from Bassett Furniture after 40 plus years, then he worked at Statesville Auto Auction. Samuel loved watching Westerns and talking with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances Modean Robinette; daughter, Connie Robinette; brother, Vontina Robinette.
Left to cherish his memory are his step-daughters, Wendy Williams and husband, Hank, Tammy Brown and husband, Rodney; nephews, Lewis Robinette and wife Judy, Jackie Robinette; grandchildren, Taylor Burdette and husband Austin, Hunter Williams, Landry Brown, Spencer Brown, Noah Brown and fiancé Madi Bolch; great-grandchildren, Mason Williams, Easton Burdette; and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 3 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Hollar officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM at Catawba Funeral Home.
