I met Sydney several times growing up, especially through middle and high school because I was good friends with her sister Shelbey. I always really enjoyed being around Sydney and talking to her, she was so sweet and funny, a true light in the world. For some reason Sydney is resting heavy on my heart tonight, and I felt called to remember her. Though it was Shelbey I was closer to, I will never forget Sydney and I know she’s in heaven at peace now. 

I’m devastated to learn of the passing of such a bright and beautiful soul, she had the ability to make you smile or laugh no matter the occasion. I wish I could truly thank her for her unconditional love and let her know how much of a difference she truly made in my life. She was a kind soul who will never be forgotten, rest easy syd

It’s hard to find the words to say…Sydney was such a beautiful person. She genuinely cared about those around her. She will be missed immensely. Praying for her family. Rest In Peace.

Dear Rusty and Maria I am so sorry to hear about Sydney. Johnny and I send our deepest condolences. Sydney was always so sweet and friendly when we saw her . Breaks my heart!! I know yours is breaking. You're in our thoughts and prayers. 

I worked with Sydney in club pick up at Sams. She was kind and funny also a hard worker.  She was a great friend. 

Heartfelt condolences to your grand parents &  parents, sister--all who loved you.  You were such a bright light in this world. I believe you knew how much my son loved you (me as well). You were the love of his life. He did his best to help you heal from your trauma and you taught him about Jesus. You will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace sweet girl.

Renea and I were saddened to hear about Sydney. There is really nothing we can say and we don’t have the words. So I will simply say. May the Lord give you what you need to get thru this time.  

I worked with Sydney at Chic Fil A. She definitely had a smile you will never forget and she always showed it! Very sweet young lady. My condolences to the family! 

I don't much remember high school honestly, but I do remember the people, Sydney was one of them. Her and I weren't much too close, but we were friends for a time. My mind struggles to find any memories I have with her specifically, but that doesn't mean I don't remember her. She was a hard person to forget, for me at least, because when I saw her she was almost always smiling, or at least in a good mood, and I don't forget people like that. She was also leagues above me academically, always had fantastic grades if memory serves me.

Despite my relationship with her not being all too personal, this does sadden me. My heart hurts so much, especially for her family as I've met them and was close with her sister for a time.

I will say that I am truly sorry. Losing one's sister, daughter, granddaughter & niece takes a heavy toll. Sydney deserves to be remembered. I did. 

I met Sydney almost exactly a year ago when she came to our church for the first time. My husband and I loved getting to know her during the time we had together. Sydney was always a joy to be around, and we shared many stories and laughs. Even though I never met her family or partner, it was evident that they meant the world to her. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm praying for comfort to those who are feeling the immense loss of a beautiful soul. 


I met Sydney working at Sam’s Club. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. She always had a smile and kind word and always willing to help when you needed her. My heart breaks for the family, my prayers are with you all. Sydney, you will be truly missed sweet girl.

Sydney first attended our church about a year ago.   She quickly became a friend of our family. We enjoyed many meals together after worship.  The last time she was there we talked for over an hour about life and about her strong faith in Jesus.  This photo is from that weekend 4 weeks ago.  Our church and our family is better because of her.
