Taiven S. Canipe, 20, of Conover and Hildebran went into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at his residence. Taiven was born December 2, 1998 in Catawba County to a loving mother, Buffy Spencer Greene and loving father, Shane Canipe. He had a special bond with his brothers, Jadison and Carter and protector of his little baby sister Kinsley. In their eyes “he could do no wrong” and “he walked on water”. He took these close relationships serious and could be heard advising them in a positive and loving demeanor. This was “our” Taiven, a kind hearted and loving soul who shared often. It was appreciated by the love of his life, his sweetheart, Emily Moore. Another love in his life was sports. He was a great athlete and known by his teammates and friends as “Super Man”. Baseball and football were amongst his favorites. In competition is where he touched many lives and built countless special relationships. He was a happy, go lucky kind of dude and we know in our hearts that has not changed. We love you son.
Left to cherish his memories is his mother, Buffy Greene and step-dad, Jason Greene, dad, Shane Canipe and step-mom Misty Propst; grandparents, Randy and Becky Canipe, Dennis and Carla Spencer, Gerald and Donna Southers, Mike and Kathy Arrowood, and Kenny and Debbie Hoover; great-grandmothers, Josie Spencer and Shelby Canipe; little sister, Kinsley Canipe; little brothers, Jadison Greene, Carter Nichols; many special friends, teammates and coaches that he considered part of his family. An additional survivor includes his loyal companion and buddy, “Roscoe”.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 o’clock p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home, 940 29th Avenue, NE, Hickory, 828-267-5740.
