Ursula was preceded in death by her husband Robert, who passed away in 2019.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Reiner Schmedes of Greensboro, NC., wife Sheila, children Clare, Nora, and Anna, son; Rick Schmedes of Davidson, NC., wife Cristina, children Nicolas, Tabitha and Marcus, daughter; Heide Putt of Nebo, NC., husband Doug, children Gabriella and Nathaniel and brother Walter Gruner of St Pete Beach, Florida
A Chapel Service will be held at Drum Funeral Home-Hickory, located at 940 29th Avenue NE, Hickory, North Carolina, 28601. The service is scheduled for December 21, 2025, at 11:00 am with Reverend Bill Millinor officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida at a later date.
