Voua “Cher Pao” Moua, age 59, was born on June 3, 1966, in Laos, to Tong See Moua and Lia Lor. He passed peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, after a life deeply centered on family and those he held close.
Cher Pao was a devoted husband to Dao Lor for over 40 years. Together, they were blessed with four children: .son Bee and wife Joua; daughter Pang and husband Chance; son Xiong and wife Sheng; and daughter Abby. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren—Olivia, Kyleigh, Kinsley, Riley, Bryson, Benson, and Matthew—who brought him immense joy and pride.
He was a member of Hmong Community Baptist Church and was known for his humility, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He enjoyed fishing and cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Cher Pao’s presence, guidance, and love will be deeply missed by his family, relatives, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and the enduring legacy of love he leaves behind.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations on: Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m
Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
He will be laid to rest at Iredell Memorial Park on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
