I was shocked to hear of Eddie's passing. Cathy, Eddie and I went to York College together, and he and Cathy were a handsome couple. I am so sorry, Cathy. Eddie had a ready smile, and was one of the best audiences for my humor I ever had! He loved his wife and children. I'm sorry he is no longer here in earth school; I hope that means he finished his lessons and got to go home. He is missed.

I was shocked and sad to hear about this.  I worked with Ed for a few years when he was with Keane. I am with Health Data Management magazine.  He was such a pleasure to speak to when I would see him at conferences.  A good friend of Ed's told me the news last week at a business event.  My deepest sympathy to his family. A class act Eddie was from our high school years and beyond. When we reconnected at our high school reunion and again eleven months ago in Manhattan, he shined as always.  A rare find, Eddie's great smile and warmth will always be my image. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I had the priviledge to work with Ed during my tenure at Keane.  We both had a love for exercise ( or so we liked to tell each other ).  We shared our running stories and Ed shared his love of biking, what model he was riding now :)  He loved all you, his family and shared that with his co-workers.  He made all the moments enjoyable, the boring, stand in a trade show booth for hours, the sales meetings where no one followed the schedule and everyone would yell at Ed to "get us back on track" and he did.  I am so sad by his passing - somehow you don't think those you love and admire will leave us so early.  God bless you my friend and thank you for all those years of friendship. I knew Ed since we were both kids at Keane in the early 1980's and always enjoyed working with him very much.  I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing.  He was honest, funny, and truly cared about friends and colleagues.  He was also a pro and always knew what he was doing.  As a result, he helped to make working more like doing things with friends and family.  I will miss him.

I met Ed in 1991 when I joined Keane Corporate in Boston.  He was working at the KeaMed office. 

We quickly discovered that we were both from Forest Hills.  This common ground – and shared exposure to Knish Nosh on Queens Blvd. – granted Ed a very special place in my heart.

Ed frequently shared stories about his family with great pride and warmth.   You could tell that he felt remarkably lucky to have such wonderful and talented people in his life.  I would tell him “they all are as great as they are – because you are you.”

After my first child was born I returned from maternity leave to Keane and visited Ed in NY for a meeting.  I really don't remember the business at hand, but I'll never forget that Ed had a copy of my daughter's birth announcement on a shelf in his office.  I instantly made him Lily's godfather.

I left Keane 6 years ago, but despite that Ed would send me birthday emails and I would be reminded (as if I needed to be) of what a caring man he was.  

Ed and I both lost our parents when we were young.  I'm not sure how we discovered this, but when it surfaced we acknowledged the profound grief, along with the hard-earned wisdom that comes from this life experience.  

Ed's passing is a devastating loss.  But we are all so fortunate to have been touched by his extraordinary humor, compassion, intellect and hard-earned wisdom.  He will not be forgotten.

Cathy, Kate and Matthew, I cannot even find the words. I cannot reconcile this in my brain.  He was one of my best firends for the past 20 years. We had a bond that is hard to even explain. He was there through every major decision I've made in my life. If I had a question about marriage, divorce, my career, my friends or how to calculate the gross margin on a product, I called Ed. 

Every employee review he would tell me what an intense hardworking sharp person I was but then he would have to tell me about improvements. To this day, every time I interrupt someone, I think of Ed and say: Listen, Donna! Listen! 

I will tell you how much his family meant to him. I know you know how much he loved you.  He's told me the story of how you, Cathy, and he met and about the birth of each of his kids. 

He was/is a charming intelligent sweet guy with a heart of gold and had the ability to engage in people's lives. I will never ever forget him and I will take the lessons and times shared with me till my last day.

Eddie and I became friends in the late 60's while in High School.  We were inseparable, discovering the distractions and challenges of life as a teenager.  He was the ultimate buddy.  I'd wait outside the variety store where he worked after school, and was always glad to see him.  He was unselfish, funny and passionate about his friends. Dear Cathy, Kate, and Matthew,

My sincere condolences on Ed's passing.  As you know I did not know him all that well or spend that much time with him.  However, it was a pleasure and privilege to know him and share those times with him and Cathy and the Cohens, et al.  I will miss him greatly at future gatherings.

Cathy, as you may recall, the last time I saw you and Ed was at Howie and Karrie's birthday party.  My dad and his wife stopped by, knowing Karrie's dad was going to be there, and my dad asked Ed if he was Karrie's father.  We all had a good laugh about that--at Eddie's expense--and Ed was laughing the loudest.

He was a good man, a good sport, and truly the last of the "nice guys".  Most importantly he was a mensch and to me that is the highest compliment.

I really feel blessed to have known him--albeit briefly.  May he rest in peace and my you all find comfort in the dignified way he lived his life and the brave fight he fought at the end.

Cathy, My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  It was a joy to know and work with Ed all these years at Keane.  He always had a good word and a smile to share with others.  Even working at opposite coasts from each other - I felt he was always a good friend. I will miss him and will always think of him fondly.  My heart goes out to you and your family.

Ed, I knew you first as a loving dad to Kate, when I taught her flute lessons in my home. I will never forget the moment when we talked about Kate's future in music.  You had tears in your eyes.  Tears of love and pride.   

I knew you more recently as part of a small yoga family at Priscilla's Wednesday night class.  Your spot was under the window. Your courage and determination in tackling some of the more challenging poses was an example for all of us. But you always managed to break us up with something you said.  Your dry wit was devastating.
    
It is unimaginable that you will not be there.  You will always be missed, and never be forgotten.

   I had the  pleasure of returning a pair of glasses to him, that he had lost and were a gift from his son  , he was so appreciative. My deepest sympathies to his family for their loss, Rest in Peace  JustEd .

I am grief stricken and shocked... words cannot express the loss.  Ed is one of the more remarkable men I have ever known, one for whom I have so much respect. I offer my deepest sorrow and condelence.  I miss you Ed.

Kathy and kids, your father was one of the most special people through my entire adult life.  Ed hired me in 1987 and was the most outstanding role model anyone could ever ask for.  Ed was not just a wonderful boss, he also taught me the value in true friendship. I am so blessed to have known Ed and to have learned and taken all he had to share.  A very proud, loving man.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, always.

I had the privledge of getting to know Ed this past year.  He was a great mentor for me as well as a good friend.  Always had a smile on his face.  I will miss him!  Prayers for you all.  May you find comfort in this time of sorrow.  God's blessings.
