Nancy Born

Nancy Born, 97, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025. Born to Italian parents, was a first generation Italian American. She lived a vibrant life in America, filled with joy and zest for life. Nancy leaves behind her beloved husband, Eddie, loving sons Donald (Athena) and Robert (Barbara), cherished granddaughters Kerryn, Courtney, Alyson, Katie, and grandsons Christopher and Kevin and great-grandchildren Nolan, Brighton, Jake, Mason, Colton, Brantley, Braelynn, Brycen, Elliott, Harrison, Cecilia, Louisa, and Jillian.

A culinary master, Nancy was renowned for her cooking and operated M&N Collectibles, indulging her passion for antiques and dolls. She was a 33 year honorary member of the Doll Club of Long Island , sang beautifully with the Holy Family Players, and was a proud member of the Dirty Dozen. As the family matriarch, she united loved ones for every holiday and birthday, insisting on celebrating on the exact day. Her love for travel with Eddie created cherished memories worldwide.

Predeceased by sisters Katherine and Teresa, Nancy is survived by her dear sister Antoinette. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Disabled Veterans of America. Visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, Hicksville, on Thursday, 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM. A Mass will be celebrated Friday at Holy Family Church at 10 AM, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.

Nancy’s warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all.
