I will never forget this day. I lost my Brother he was one of a kind. His humor  and kindness  were always present. He was not only my brother he was my friend. God Bless his entire family I share in their pain

•	Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Raymond J. Carpenter.  Though it has been some times, since Ray's passing, we only recently heard of his death.  Still, his fellow troopers of the 11th Armored Cavalry’s Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia, salute our fallen brother.  Ray served courageously with F Troop of the 2nd Squadron in 1968 and 1969, and it was our privilege to have him in the ranks of the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment.  Our loss is that of another brother down and we will continue to honor his memory at our gatherings and at our annual reunion.  Raymond Carpenter was  an exemplary soldier, and kept us entertained with his joyful spirit.   His name will be listed on the roll of our honored dead and in our newsletter, Thunder Run.   But as our Catholic Burial Liturgy clearly states:  “life has not ended, merely changed”  and Ray’s  soul continues on an endless path.  As we were together then (in Vietnam), we will be together again in the life hereafter, comfortably enfolded in the loving arms of our Merciful Father.

It has saddened me to hear of Ray’s passing and sending my sincere condolences to the Carpenter family during this time of loss.
Ray was such a pleasant man with a positive spirit and willing to help others. He always made me laugh and smile.
Ray will truly be missed and it was a pleasure to have know him... God bless his soul.

Ginny, I was so sorry to hear about Ray but thankful that Danny called to let me know.  Ray was my best friend while overseas and he could bring the best out of people.
