Silvia Piccininni, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on October 25, 2025. Born on April 29, 1956, in Astoria, NY. Silvia was the beloved daughter of Frank and Marie Panella, and step-father Bill Bellario.
Silvia’s heart was as big as her personality. She was a force of nature who loved fiercely, loving with her entire heart. She was always willing to drop everything to help anyone that came across her path. She quickly embraced each person personally as they became an integral part of her life. She planned activities, outings, and weekly gatherings at her home (one of which was the Diamond Painting Club), dinners and music at local venues (inviting friends to join in the fun). Especially a night out to see her favorite band: Julio & the Saltines, South Carolina's ultimate live entertainment band. One of her friends referred to Silvia as their Cruise Director!
Silvia is survived by her loving son, Anthony Piccininni and her granddaughter Madison, her Sweet Pea; her sisters Nancy LaRuffa, Marie Panella, and Joanne Hurd, along with her step-sisters MaryAnn Bellario-Ferretti (Jim), Dee Bellario-Papandrew (Pete), and step brother Bill Bellario; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Krista LaRuffa, Peter LaRuffa (Sarah LaRuffa, Justin, Jonathan, Emmaline & Silas), Michael Panella (Stephanie Panella, Zoe & Leo); as well as extended family and countless friends.
Silvia was a lover of life, and proved that every day as she lived life to the fullest. Her favorite place was the beach, with crashing waves on a bright sunny day. She referred to this as her “Happy Place.” She loved traveling, and was blessed to travel to Greece, Bermuda, Italy, Costa Rica, as well as cruises. Silvia also loved dancing, she even competed in ballroom dancing for many years in the past. She not only loved good food, with a glass of wine, she was the "hostess with the mostest." She loved hosting dinners with family & friends - with a full spread fit for royalty.
She passionately loved her family and friends. Each were so important to her that she worked hard at keeping in touch, inviting many to visit and stay at her home in Myrtle Beach, or getting together when she visited New York.
In deepest sorrow, we mourn the loss of a truly beautiful soul that touched many. Silvia will be remembered by the mark of love she left on each of our hearts.
