Poppa was a man of many talents. Poppa raised seven children with Mama. He was a competitive boxer in his early days, as well as a war Veteran.

He was the most creative and enlightening grandfather for me, my brother, and my sister. He often told stories, showed his inventions and his magic tricks. 

One talent that sticks out to me the most is that Poppa was an amazing painter. Poppa had such a unique skill in painting. He could capture an imagine In the most pristine and beautiful way. 

One of my most memorable experiences with Poppa, was when I would  visit as a child. I would walk into his room to hang out with him And in  most cases, he would be watching one of his painting shows with his brush in hand. Poppa was always learning and teaching himself something new.

 I loved watching Poppa at his craft. I remember sitting in his room watching him and then he would let me have a go at it. He taught me what he knew about painting. These are the moments with Poppa that will be with me forever and I am so grateful for them. The memories of painting, him pretending to have my nose in his hand by using his thumb, or when he would do magic tricks with a deck of cards. Even just sitting around listening to his childhood stores of playing Kick The Can in the streets with his brothers or how he had to travel across town to get to school from where he lived. These are the times and memories I treasure the most.

Poppa was the best grandfather that anyone could ever ask for and I could not be more proud and grateful that he was mine.  

At 99 years old Poppa, what can I say.... well I say what you would say 
“ Good show!” As I clap  my hands like you would. Cheers to you for all you have accomplished and passed onto me and the family. I love you so much Poppa and you will be missed so much. But please know You will forever live on in my thoughts and in my heart. Rest well Poppa.

My favorite memory of Poppa was when he would teach me to play cards, dominoes, yo yo ( which he was the champ of), or golf or even how to make paper trees. Hanging out in his garage where there were all kinds of neat treasures. Taking him up to his house in Pennsylvania and stopping g for McDonald’s fish sandwiches. I love you Poppa and will miss you! Hoo rah on making it to your 100th year, I am blessed to have you in my life.
