I met Robles in Italy where we were stationed with 2/503 173rd. He was a good friend and someone I could just talk to when I was having issues. He was a good Friend and battle. He will be forever missed. My heart goes out to his family. Till we meet again brother!!

I met Arturo about 15 years ago. I got mad at him that night because he walked through my screen door. But since then we got to be good friends, and he certainly made a lasting impression on me, as he did on so many people.

Arturo was the kind of guy that guys like me secretly want to be like. But you can't imitate what Arturo had. The man was so full of life and passion. Charisma, charm, and playfulness, mixed with ferocious intensity and determination.

He was a true Alpha male. Highly intelligent, physically imposing, and socially dominant. He commanded respect. It wasn't optional. He was so strong and capable, you couldn't help but hold him in high regard.

Arturo was a natural leader. If he told you to do something, you did it. If you ever had the joy of being at the poker table with Arturo, you'll know that he would literally control the play - even if he wasn't in the hand. If Arturo hadn't yelled at me yet to say it was my turn to act, it wasn't official.

The man was good at everything that he tried. He was accomplished in academics, and excelled in multiple careers. He didn't just do anything, he would do it better than anyone.

Underneath all that, he was a sensitive and empathetic human being. Arturo had a kind soul and would help out a friend any way he could. He had a fantastic sense of humor, and could trash-talk with the best of them. The guy was pure comedy half the time, and pure intensity the other half. He loved people, and he loved getting people's attention. When we worked at a restaurant together years ago, Arturo would show up in the parking lot in a different shirt - just so that people could see his muscles!

I feel terrible thinking of the suffering he silently endured for so long, but take comfort knowing he is now at peace.

My sympathies go out to his son, his mother, the rest of his family, and everyone who loved him. Arturo was a class act. I am proud to have called him my friend. He will be badly missed.




Arturo was a kind and strong soul, who cared deeply for everyone who touched his life. His strength was given freely to those in need and a friendly ear to listen to the rambling of a boring day. 

I met Robles in Afghanistan, he always had my back! Sometimes it was a funny story to share, a word of caution or a recommendation on weightlifting. He will forever be in my head. I wish his family my sincerest condolences in their grief, I know he is watching over you. All the way! Airborne!

I am so grateful to have had Arturo as a friend, he was such a kind and caring person. He was a great listener and just last week he was chatting with me helping me get through something. If you ever had a problem, or just a bad day, he was always available to talk about it, or just listen.  He was so proud of his son and talked about him often. He loved his job and worked so hard to further his career. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I’m so grateful to have met Arturo’s family, I see where he got his kind heart from. Arturo will be greatly missed! 

Robles was one of my boys. He served with my son in Afghanistan. I was so blessed to welcome my boys home. He always made me smile. My heart is broken.   He will forever have a place in my heart.   Momma K misses you!

Omg I am heart broken, I’m just learning of this. I just talked to him, he helped me with all physics homework and always had a smile on his face in the gym. He texted me a few weeks ago checking on me and asking how I was doing. Such a sweetheart, my heart is truly broken.  

Arturo was always a funny guy. I knew him from high school and everyone loved him. He would bring light to anyone's day. I hope you are watching over us Arturo please Rest In Peace. You will be forever loved and deeply missed.

He was always a stand up guy, always stood up for the little people, i remember all of us hanging up armstrong park. I always considered him a brother. I will always have your 6 brother. 

First off I just want to say I'm sending so much love and positivity to the family as possible. He wouldn't have been the man he was without you. Arturo was loved by many because of his softness that he held in a tough exterior. I'll never forget him and Jeremy helping me cram for a work test the night before the test. Beating my butt in Tekken Tag 2 until I was decent to hold my own. Also getting my butt to the gym to motivate me. All he ever wanted was his friends to be happy and any way he could help them achieve it, he did. They definitely mean it when they say the good pass young. I met Arturo through his friends, my daughter and her husband.  He always made me laugh, with his quick wit and infectious smile, and he never lacked for kind words when they were needed. He always made me feel better about myself, and about all people in general. Arturo could spread joy. 
My condolences and prayers for comfort go out to his family, his friends, and his friends-made-into-family.  I am truly sorrowful for your loss. 

I didn’t know Arturo for very long, but he was the nicest guy and was super funny. He gave me lots of advice when I bought my first motorcycle.

Arturo and I shared a bunk in Afghanistan for 15 long months. My wife and I have numerous beautiful memories of him and his antics. 

What always stood out to me was his unshakeable loyalty. He was always ready and eager to stand up for himself, his comrades, and his family. I always felt safe around him. He brought people calm. He wasn't judgemental or narcissistic.

Thank you to Arturo's family for raising such a fantastically wonderful person. His was a life worth celebrating. 

Arturo was the kind of friend who rooted for me even in the littlest things. Who always found a reason to be proud of the ones he cared about. Who knew what to say to clear up dark skies. The kind of friend who was always there when you needed him and would even thank you for turning to him. 
I'll think about Arturo every time I bake banana bread. He always craved it but joked that he refused to learn to make it because he knew he'd have no self control. I'll remember his amazing sense of humor, bravery, and warmth.
My life is richer for having known him. I am a better person for having had his friendship for 17 years. And he will be forever missed.

I am going to truly miss this guy. Arturo was one of the kindest, big hearted people I’ve ever met. It didn’t matter how much time had past since the last time you saw him, because it was always love, hugs and smiles whenever you crossed paths again. He always wanted to make sure you were ok and He was always very genuine. He was a protector and really really great friend. He was one of those people that when you hear his name you can’t help but smile. He was loved and he will truly be missed. 

I knew you when you were in your mommas bellie.  I saw your mother filled with love as you were growing in her.  When you were born, you brought so much love.  I carried you as a baby and  you stayed with me in Corpus Christi, Texas for a week when you were a teenager.  We had the best time too.  We popped fireworks for New Years and you hung out with my daughter Amanda and my step kids Little Amanda, Ross, Nick and Chris.  I watched you become a young man.  I saw you serve our county with such pride and we were all so proud of you.  Your mom raised you to be a beautiful human being and she talked about you all the time.  Now you are gone and I simply can not wrap my head around it.  You will forever be missed.  So many questions, but I know you are resting in the house of the Lord.  You will always be in my prayers Arturo.  My sincere condolences to the entire family and all who had the opportunity to know such a kind loving soul.  

It has been a long time since we hung out and the last time we talked we were supposed to get together the next time you were in town but we moved before you made it back. Lost touch after that. My heart is broken and prayers go out to the family. You will be forever missed.  

I met Arturo through a mutual friend 8 years ago and we became instant friends. He was magnetic and could always make me laugh. Just a joy to be around with his easy smile. So generous and giving and would always be there when I need. The truest friend.  He will be so missed. 

I spent a year in Afghanistan with Arturo (we called him simply, Robles), we spent a lot of time on patrols together since we both were attached to the Lieutenant. This guy could make anyone around him smile through the worst of times. My heart goes out to his family and close friends in this time of mourning. Rest In Peace, Robles.

Arturo was a great friend to many and loved so much by friends and family.  He was such an amazing human being who was always encouraging and gave the best hugs EVER!  He was always there to talk to when you needed it about anything.  Rest easy my dear friend!  You will be missed!!!!!!

He was more then a friend.  He bacame part of the family in a lot of homes including my own.  His desire to help and the joy of just having him around  made everyone love him.   I know my parents and sisters are feelling this as much as I am.   I'm just soo thankfully he was able to come out to Hawaii to be my best man at my wedding.    Aloha brother catch you on the flip side.

Arturo was always in great spirits! He kept a slight grin on his face all the time lol! It saddens me to hear about a fellow classmate passing. You will be missed, and I pray your family and friends find comfort in such a hard time. Bison Pride!!

Arturo was loved by so many. We grew up together with a handful of other people from school and the neighborhood. So many funny memories when I think about him. His personality was the best. He was so kind funny and  loyal. He was a brother not just a friend. We love you Turo and will miss that big ol chin. Chin twins for L my love. 

We had many many memories together from middle school to high school. He is always present when I think of those times. He will be missed greatly. Prayers for his family and friends. 

The Professional Fire Fighters of Greensboro- IAFF Local 947 wish to express our deepest condolences to Arturo's family during this difficult time. He will be sorely missed throughout the department but especially at Station 7 where he served the community with distinction. 

We truly lost an amazing human being. Arturo was the most selfless, genuine person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was full of advice and wisdom and wanted to help others at every turn. Rest easy, sweet friend.

Arturo was a gentleman to the core and an amazing friend. Anyone who met him felt his light and he will be dearly missed by so many. Until we meet again ❤️ 

I met Arturo through my son and his family.... he was always polite and  shared a  smile.  I am so sorry for your loss.  💔😥

He was a kind friend. I will always remember laughing with him in school half a lifetime ago. The mention of his name only brings a smile and good feelings, except today when I heard this news. Sending thoughts and prayers for strength to his family. ❤️

  He was a loyal friend. A cheerful spirit and a kind soul. We met in middle school and attended high school together and worked together at Food Lion for a while. So very sad to hear the news of his passing.  Sending deepest sympathies and condolences to his mom and sister and especially to his son. One thing he had that never waivered was his love for his family and the loyalty he showed his friends. He will be missed by so many.
