Barbara Ann Sechrist

Barbara Ann Sechrist-70- passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in High Point to the late Walter Herman and Faye McAnally Lynch French. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and worked for many years as a nursing assistant. She loved spending time with her dog and birds, watching tv, and was a fan of professional wrestling. She was a compassionate person, fun loving, and could brighten up any ones day. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gray Sechrist, a daughter Shannon Elise Haire, a son, Michael Allen French, a brother Roger Michael French and a sister Linda Faye McDowell. She is survived by a son Darrell Sechrist and wife Christine, five sisters, Judy Woodard and Charles, Sharon Elekes and Joseph, Janet Davidson and Bob, Kathy McDow and Gary, Robin Daniels and Tim and a brother Steven Randall French and Zandra. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, January 4, 2013, 2:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point with the Rev. Kenneth Letterman officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, 7-9pm at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
