Brenda Darlene Proctor Coates

A resident of this area most of her life, Brenda was born on April 17, 1943 in Guilford County, a daughter to the late Floyd “Bill” Proctor and Bertha “Bert” Woolard Proctor. She had lived in Jacksonville Florida for a number of years before returning to High Point. Brenda enjoyed word search books, bingo, Yahtzee, bowling, and most of all, anything to do with Elvis Presley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dean Folds; and brothers, Terry and Gary Proctor.

Surviving are her husband of over 45 years, Ken Coates of the home; three daughters, Dena Folds, Lynn Folds, and Kelly Coates Godbolt and husband Gene; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at 4 pm Monday, May 14, 2018 in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
