Mr. Oxendine was born March 1, 1948 in Red Springs, North Carolina a son of the late Dexton and Esteree Maynard Oxendine. He retired from Dar-ran Furniture as a machine operator after 28 years of service, and was of the Baptist faith. Curtis loved listening to his gospel music.
Mr. Oxendine was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Whitehead and three brothers, James Oxendine, Dexton Oxendine, and Edward Oxendine.
Surviving are his wife Deborah Watts Oxendine, stepdaughters, Brandy Lowery and Tracy Watts; sisters, Marie Baker and Christine Ray. Mr. Oxendine is also survived by four grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal service at this time.
