David was born in High Point, March 22, 1939, a son of the late James Robert Williams and Helen Elizabeth Kearns Williams. He retired from Thomas Built Bus after many years of service. David enjoyed Elvis Presley music and fairs. He especially enjoyed carnivals and built a miniature carnival as a hobby. David was a member of the former Christ United Methodist Church, the High Point Jaycees, the High Point Sertoma Club and Parents' without Partners.
Surviving are his daughter, Ann Marie Caulder; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Caulder and Abigail Caulder; an aunt, Florie Kearns and two cousins, Sharon Aderhold and Tina and other distant family members.
A Celebration of David's life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 until the service. Memorials may Hospice of the Piedmont.
