

High Point- Mrs. Edna Edmondson Gray 99 of 1407 Bradshaw Street, died on October 12, 2014 at the Hospice Home at High Point. She was born in Greensboro, October 23, 1914 to John Milton and Annie Shropshire Edmondson. She was a member of English Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W. Alexander Gray, March 3, 1993; an infant son, Thomas Michael Gray in 1942; two brothers, John M. Edmondson and Sidney R. Edmondson; and three sisters, Muriel Lee, Thelma Shropshire and Louise Harrold.
She is survived by two sons, David A. Gray and wife Zana of Douglasville, Georgia, and Danny E. Gray of Greensboro, NC; two grandchildren, David A. Gray Jr. and wife Patty of Douglasville, Georgia, and Emily G. Williamson and Husband Scott of Norristown, Pennsylvania; two great grandsons, David A. Gray III and tanner D. Gray of Douglasville, Georgia; and one sister Marie Higginbotham of Greensboro.
She worked more than 30 years as a kindergarten teacher in private day care.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point by Dr. Fred Senter and the Reverend Jack Rose. Visitation will be from 10-11 am before the service at Sechrest Funeral services. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester drive, High Point, NC or the Missionary fund of English Road Baptist Church.
