Jackie Stutts Bain

Jackie was born in the Oakview community on August 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Otis and Annie Swiggett Stutts. She was a graduate of Jamestown schools and enjoyed attending reunions with her classmates. Jackie was a retired bookkeeper with the former Salem Square Furniture Company. She was a faithful, lifelong member of Mitchell's Grove Methodist Church. Jackie enjoyed traveling, attending area car shows and participating in Jamestown parades. Fish on Fridays was a must. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Walter Bain, Jr., her sister, Wanda King and a brother, L. O. Stutts, Jr.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Hayworth and her husband Mel and Jennifer Bopp; a son, John Bain and his wife Susan; six grandchildren, Ben, Jessica, Kelly, Matt, Nicole and Alex and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Sammy and Andy; and a long-time companion, Carl Johnson.

A Celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tim Porter. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont or Brookdale at Skeet Club.
