He was born on August 5, 1954 to the late James W. Lewis Sr. and Hybernia McAdoo Lewis in Illinois.
James was a talented painter and mastered many instruments he picked up. He loved the arts, and used his talents to help bring joy to others. He will be remembered most for his charm and infectious smile.
Left to cherish James' memory are his daughter, Jennifer Williams; sons, James Matthew Lewis and Jonathan Wilfredo Lewis; grandchildren, Jessica, Mackenzie, Passion, Elijah and Tyshawn; uncle, David L. Lewis; and cousins, Derek Williams and Michael Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on October 20, at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point.
