Mrs. Mims was born in Danville, VA, April 15,, 1938, a daughter of the late Sterling Wimbush and Adell Medley Wimbush. She was a homemaker and a seasonal postal worker. Jeroline was a member of Bibleway Temple in Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Mims and Jasper Thomas Mims, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Jasper Thomas Mims, Sr.; children Joyette Timpson, Jill Mims, Joey Mims, Jeronda Hilton and Joyce Lewis; grandchildren, Janard, Kamal, Jason, Gateece, Vanessa, Jailyn, Collin Jasper and Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Rodney, Daniel and Elijah.
A Celebration of Jeroline’s Life will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, 4777 HWY 158 W, Yanceyville, NC by Pastor Everett DIckerson. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont..
