Jerry Wayne Kennedy

Jerry was born in Davidson County, June 11, 1942, a son of the late Garl and Margie Johnson Kennedy. He was a farmer his entire life, working on the family farm as long as he was able. Jerry sold tomatoes at area restaurants and enjoyed setting up at area flea markets and talking with friends. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Hi-Toms, and hunting and fishing.

Jerry was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Griffin, Kay Wright and Becky Cirosta; brothers, Robert "Bob" Kennedy, Harold Kennedy and Roger Kennedy.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Judy Moore Kennedy; a daughter, Amy Kennedy; a son, Jeremy Kennedy; grandson, Luke Kennedy; sisters, Judy Kennedy, Dean Bumgardner and Carol Bowman; brothers, Richard Kennedy, Donald Kennedy and Tony Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2 pm at Zion Church of Thomasville by Pastor Josh Sands. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Kidney Fund.
