

Joyce was born in Sampson, County, N.C. on August 18, 1930 to George G. and Mannie E. Furmidge Autry.
She was self employed with John Callicutt Trucking Company, Joy Realty and later in the food service industry. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of family, her faith, her service to others, and her resilence. Joyce persevered in a state of grace to the end leading to eternal salvation. She married John Ernest Callicutt who preceded her in death on July 15, 1979.
Surviving are her three daughters: Ann Callicutt Price of Fayetteville; Wanda Callicutt Garrett of High Point, and Della Callicutt Ellis of Pleasant Garden. There are three sisters: Janie A. Cannady of Clinton, NC; Treva A. Johnson of Roseboro; and Betty A. Carter of Clinton and one brother, Waymon H. Autry of Greensboro. Mrs. Dorsett has one granddaughter; Shelley Price and two great grandchildren; Matthew Price and Elizabeth Price, all of Erwin, NC.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4145 Johnson Street, with the Reverend Burley W. Moore and Reverend Vincent E. Smith, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensboro at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Space of the church from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday and at other times at the home of Wanda Garrett in High Pont.
