Kat was born in Swaim County, April 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Willis Arnold Bradshaw and Hattie Elizabeth Ashe Bradshaw. She grew up in Murphy and spent several years in Gaston County. Kat was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse after many years of service. She loved her family, her church, her job and the mountains. Kat was preceded in death by her husbands, Reuben Henry FIsher and Wendell Louis HIbberts. She was a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children, Jimmie Arnold FIsher and his wife Rachael, Sharon Fisher Potoczny and her husband Jonathan, WIlliam "Buddy" Henry Fisher, II, and Pattie Fisher Gates and husband Patrick; a sister, Doris Bradshaw Chapman; a brother, James David Bradshaw; grandchildren, Marissa Hester, Mallory Watson, Dustin Russell, Joshua Gates, Kathleen Hammond, Sabrina FIsher, WIllis Fisher and Aurora Fisher; 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Baby.
A Celebration of Kat's life will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 101 Beaty Dr., Mt. Holly, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
