Martha Mackie Caudell

She was born on April 2, 1926 in Yadkinville to the late William and Eula Mackie. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Martha did volunteer work in the community with the Women’s Club and Mobile Meals on Wheels. She was also an active member of the High Point Regional Hospital Guild for over forty years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Ross Caudell, four brothers and one sister.

Surviving are her children, Cheryl Calvert and husband, Richard of Mills River, Holly Ketner and husband Rick of Salisbury, Ross Caudell, Jr. of Newbern, and Sam Caudell and wife Susan of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Dorothy Mackie Miller and husband Charles of Davidson; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21st at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church chapel, with the Reverend Dr. Al Ward officiating. Entombment will follow in Oakview Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20th at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
