Juanita was preceded in death by her sisters Mozelle Howard, Irene Pruitt, Rachel Sykes, Doris Ruppert and Margaret Arnold; brothers, Artwood, Carl, Junis, and Earl McKinney.
She is survived by her sister Colleen Parrish and several nieces and nephews.
Juanita worked at the war department and the veteran’s administration for over forty years, before retiring on May 1, 1983. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in High Point before it merged with Covenant Church United Methodist, where she was still a member.
The family would like to thank Annie and Carl Kitching and the staff of The Stratford in High Point for their exceptional care as Juanita approached the end of her life.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, 1:00 PM at Covenant Church United Methodist in High Point. There will be a visitation at the church one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Covenant Church United Methodist at 1526 Skeet Club Rd, High Point, NC 27265.
