I was a caregiver for the Osters for about a year and a half and spent quite a bit of time getting to know Bill. He was, hands down, one of the most enjoyable people I've ever come to know. He was witty, kind, smart, and so dedicated to making sure that Elaine was always getting the best care possible. Over the course of time I spent in their household, I was treated like a friend, like family and never felt like my job, but rather a blessing. I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing but I'm reminded of the many times I recall him mentioning what a long and blessed life he had lived. I wish all of him family that I've met and those whom I have not, lots of love and light. You all are in my prayers and if any of you who read this are in touch with Elaine, please send her a hug from me.

I was able to meet Bill a few times when he and Elaine visited High Point before they moved there. He made a charming dinner companion with his humor. It was evident that Elaine was the love of his life during those few dinners. He was always handy at Karen's fixing a towel rack or a drain during his visits. I am deeply saddened for your loss and know that your memories will keep your Dad near you during this difficult period and in the future.

He was the best Father in law for 40 years any woman would ever hope to have .He came to my rescue many times with his trusty tool kit, words of wisdom and a good laugh. He will be missed terribly by all who met him but he will always be in our hearts

Mr. Oster was a gentleman devoted to his wife and children. His stability was charming and enviable, as was his constant presence that made his family solid and secure. I knew him in the 1950s and '60s when Karen was my best friend, and I am so grateful to call her my friend now. She is her parents' child, stable, charming, constant, and secure. I mourn your loss and celebrate his dearness.

I am a caregiver with 1st Choice Homecare and had the pleasure of meeting "Bill" one year ago when I came to work with his wife Elaine. He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and was very helpful to me. He loved his wife and enjoyed caring for her. He loved his family. He would show me pictures, tell me their names, tell me where they lived and that he felt truly "blessed " to have such a large wonderful family. He loved the Miami Dolphins, The Lawrence Welk Show and working the daily puzzles in the paper. He was well liked and will be truly missed. Elaine and her family are in my thoughts & prayers.
