

Alan M. Maluse, age 53, of Clarkston formerly of Bay City; passed away peacefully on June 26, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alan graduated from Bay City All Saints in 1975 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Detroit. Alan was managing director at Marsh in Detroit and has been with the organization for over 26 years. He enjoyed being at home watching television, especially sports, playing with his two dogs, and reading a good book. He also became quite fond of photography. Beloved husband of 28 years to Paula J. Maluse; dear son Marsha and the late Robert Maluse; caring brother of Kimberly (Jim) Bliss; proud uncle of Taylor Bliss and Alec Bliss; son-in-law of both the late Maurice and Geraldine Walkowiak; brother-in-law of Anne (Richard) Traxler, Mark (Mary) Walkowiak, Donna (Kevin) Gulvas, Peggy Walkowiak, Christine Christie and the late Christopher Walkowiak along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and colleagues. He will be sadly missed. Alan also leaves behind his two precious dogs Max and Sara. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Daniel Catholic Church, 7010 Valley Park Drive, Clarkston, MI 48346. The visitation hours will be Thursday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. (248) 889-1500. Alan will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Cremation will follow; Memorials in Alan’s name suggested to Michigan Humane Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all their friends and neighbors for their love and support.
