Christine was the beloved daughter of Robert and Catherine Johnson, who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Jerry Johnson, Bernie Johnson, and John Burdick. She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Stone, with whom she shared over 47 years of marriage.
Together, Christine and Kenneth raised three wonderful children: Kenny Stone, Gina Reif, and Leah Stone. The family expanded further with the addition of stepchildren, Jessica and Janel Stone, and Christine took immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to many, each one holding a unique place in her heart. She also leaves behind her siblings, Donna (Don) Farnell, Greg Johnson, Robert (Darlene) Johnson, and Marie Burdick.
A proud graduate of Redford Union in the class of 1977, Christine carried her passion into her profession as a talented sous chef. She took immense pride in her work and cooking. Christine’s love for food was only rivaled by her love for her family, as she often delighted them with meals that brought everyone together.
Christine was known for being a sunset chaser, often seeking out the perfect view to appreciate the beauty of the world around her. She had a fondness for pontoon boat rides on Upper Pettibone Lake and was a loving dog and cat mom. She had a heart big enough to care for all her furry friends, always ensuring they felt loved and cherished.
Music was another passion that enriched Christine’s life and was known for her love for sunsets and tranquil moments by the lake. She had an appreciation for spending time with her family and the joy of connection.
