Cora Effie Buckner, age 89, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Beloved mother of Barbara (Gary) Alex, Wayne (Laura) Buckner, and Michael (Denise) Buckner. Loving grandmother of Terry (Jason Bachman) Alex, Tammy (Brenden Ziemba) Craprotta, Wendy (Brian) Bedini, Lindsey (Anthony) Clemens, Christine (Matthew) Turco, and David (Hannah) Buckner. Proud great-grandmother of Salvatore, Olivia, Jordan, Fisher, Izabel, Matthew, Emma, and Liam. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with a scripture service at 7:00pm, on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland. Funeral visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Church of the Nazarene,1211 W. Livingston Rd., Highland.
