Grace Mae Cyrol

Grace Mae Cyrol formerly of Novi, Southfield and Detroit; passed away October 2, 2015 in Ann Arbor, Michigan surrounded by her children at 89 years of age. She is the beloved wife of the late Chester. Loving mother of Sherry (Jerome) Buczek, Reggie Purdon and Tina Marie (Tom Livingston) Russette. Grandmother of Patty (Randy) Cox, Cathy (Paul) Siersma, Terry (Jon) Winowiski, Wendy (Bryan) Hoskinson, Kristin Purdon, Zak (Erica) Purdon, Jennifer (Justin) Wagner, Jesse Purdon, Erica Purdon, Eric Purdon, Rachel (BJ) Mercier and Dr. Chelsea (Jason) Ray. Also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cyrol was very involved with the Girl Scouts of America for over 25 years and was an Avon Representative for over 30 years. She volunteered and taught at Crowell Senior Center in Detroit and also volunteered at the sundry shop at Meadowbrook Commons Senior Living in Novi. Her favorite color was purple and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and ceramics.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 P.M. and Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at Noon. She will be interred with her husband, Chester in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
